Evie Mae Parker
Evie Mae Parker from Porthleven Cornwall was diagnosed with a brain tumour in January 2010. She and her family spent the next few weeks in Frenchay whilst Evie Mae underwent surgery to remove the tumour.
Fortunately Evie Mae is on the mend now and her parents Emma & Scott Parker along with her big brother Lewis and sister Freya are delighted to be back at home. She is being constantly monitored at our local hospital weekly and having physiotherapy. She is are little miracle!
In tribute to Evie Mae and to support Martha Care Emma & Scott have started the Evie Mae fund: The total currently stands at: £950
Special thanks go to Porthleven Children‘s Centre and all the mums from the playgroup for organising a coffee morning. All businesses in Porthleven who made generous donations. Tara Trethowan for organising a table top sale and coffee morning. Also our family in Bolton who are organising a sponsored head and eyebrow shave and a chest wax!! Pictures to follow when event happens. Total so far in Bolton £675
Evie Mae's Auntie Faye and friend Rebekah from Porthleven Children’s Centre are running in the Eden Project Half Marathon. This will take place on 10th October
During our stay at Frencahy it felt like are whole world had been turned upside down. We were separated from our two other children and felt so isolated and not knowing where to turn. If there was a support worker dedicated to help families like ours we feel the service would be invaluable. Families need to be kept up to date with information and need all the support there is available in situations like ours.
